November’s female athlete of the month is senior Mikayla Flansburg. Mikayla is a returning player from last season’s league championship team. She has been working hard in the pre-season and has earned a starting position. Her tenacious defense, speed, and quickness allow her to menace opposing players while helping her teammates create turnovers. Mikayla also has a threatening outside shot which will be needed this season to help out the Tornadoes offense. Congratulations Mikayla! Submitted by Coach PotempaFinn Morrissey has been named November male athlete of the month. Finn is the son of Julia and Mark Morrissey. As the only senior on the 2014/15 Tornadoes Basketball Squad, Finn has accepted the challenge of being the leader on a very youthful and inexperienced team. As an added challenge for Finn, he is being asked as a perennial perimeter player to become the Tornadoes post player, and has been exceptionally effective.
