March’s Female Athlete of the Month is Sophomore Jordan Batson. Jordan is the daughter of Robert and Kate Batson. Jordan has started the spring season on a high note. She will be asked to fill many roles on this year’s team. So far she has done an excellent job both catching and pitching. She has a great presence behind the plate and is able to throw out many runners stealing. Jordan has also done very well pitching. Many batters have a difficult time catching up to her pitches. It is rare to have a player that is able to play both the catcher and pitcher position so well. Her leadership is quiet but effective. She leads by example. In the four scrimmages we have had, her batting has been excellent and we hope to have it continue throughout the season. Congratulations Jordan! Submitted by Coach HaverMarch’s Male Athlete of the Month is Senior Finn Morrissey. Finn is the son of Mark and Julia Morrissey. Finn works hard on and off the field. He is a three year starter and one of our top pitchers. Finn has worked very hard during the off season and always brings that work ethic to practice. Finn’s leadership is also recognized by his teammates and coaches. His solid play will be looked to as the season progresses. Congratulations Finn! Submitted by Coach Tabor
