• Dear Parents and Guardians,

My name is Mark Waters and I am an elementary special education teacher here at the Poland Central School district. I will be co-teaching with your child’s classroom teachers throughout the day as well as meeting with students on a daily basis to ensure that their educational needs are being addressed.

I graduated from Clinton Central Schools in 2007 where I was a three sport athlete playing hockey, soccer, and lacrosse. I continued my love for sports into college where I pursued my dream of becoming a physical education teacher while playing both hockey and lacrosse at Mohawk Valley Community College. After MVCC I furthered my education at SUNY Brockport and graduated with my bachelor’s degree in physical education in 2012. Continuing my love for teaching, I decided to go to Utica College for my master’s degree in both Childhood Education and Special Education.

Along with an extensive educational background, I also have a wide-range of coaching experiences including; being the assistant coach for the JV Girls’ Soccer team in Clinton, the assistant coach for the JV Boys Lacrosse team in Whitesboro, assistant coach for the Varsity Girls’ Soccer team in Oriskany, head coach for the JV Girls’ Volleyball team in Clinton, and being the head Men’s Lacrosse coach at MVCC. During my time here at Poland Central Schools, I have coached the Boy’s and Girl's Modified Soccer, the JV Boy’s Basketball and the Varsity Golf Team.

I am excited for the school year and what lies ahead, and I look forward to working with your child.

Anyone who wishes to contact me please feel free to email me at mwaters@polandcsd.org

    Sincerely,

    Mr. Waters

    Special Education Teacher
