There are many Spanish courses offered at Poland CSD.
Students begin learning a second language when they enter 7th grade. Students continue learning language in 8th grade, which will fulfill the 2-year NYS requirement for world languages.
All students must successfully complete the two courses to meet graduation requirements.
After fulfilling the requirement, students may continue to learn Spanish in Spanish 2 and Spanish 3 and will complete a sequence in language. The Spanish 3 course culminates in a final exam, similar to the past NYS Regents.
After completing Spanish 3, students may choose to take Spanish 4, a college level course. Students enrolled in this class can earn up to 6 credits.
