January 2026

January's Athlete of the Month for Boy's Varsity Basketball is Senior Co-Captain Maddox Clark.  When Maddox walked into the gym as a freshman, he was known as a hard working kid with raw potential and an enjoyment for playing hoops.  Four years later, as a senior, Maddox has transformed into a strong team leader and a tough player to stop in our league.  This season, he has elevated his scoring ability to a new level, consistently leading the team in points while shooting efficiently from both the field and the free-throw line.  He has worked hard on becoming a consistent scorer and has added some consistent effort on defense as well, leading the team in "charges taken."  His impact on our team has been a big one and we look for more of that as we wrap up our regular season and head into sectional play.  Congratulations Maddox!!!

January's Athlete of the Month for Girl's Varsity Basketball is Senior Captain Ryan Vail.  Ryan is playing in her third year for the team.  She currently leads the team in rebounds with 125, assists with 35 and blocks with 28.  Ryan has accepted her role as a team leader this season, her defensive presence, rebounding and shot blocking are among some of the leading stats in Section 3.  Ryan and the rest of the Lady Tornadoes are hoping to have a strong run in sectionals.  Congratulations Ryan!!!
