Catholic Charities of Herkimer County
Catholic Charities was founded in 1917 based on the belief that people have a right and a duty to participate in society and to seek the common good and well-being of all, especially the poor and vulnerable. For 83 years, Catholic Charities has been proud to welcome people of all faiths, races, and lifestyles. Through the 1950’s, Catholic Charities primarily operated in the urban areas of Albany, Schenectady, and Troy where volunteers and religious women worked with orphaned children, foster and adoptive families, and hospitals. A Counselor from Catholic Charities works at Poland CSD four days a week to provide prevention counseling and resources.
Resource Center for Independent Living (RCIL)
Your life. Your decisions. RCIL believes that if you want to live independently you don't need permission, you need resources. RCIL provides real solutions to the personal, social, or governmental barriers that are stopping your decisions from being respected and realized.

There are two resources community members may use to search the Sex Offender Registry.

Student safety is a top priority. We will periodically add resources, new information and links to this webpage for community to use. These will appear in the left margin. The resources currently listed include publications from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the National Association for School Psychologists and Parent Today.
