Elementary students honored in final PPP assemblies of 23-24 school year
Elementary students at Poland were recognized for their hard work in and out of the classroom during the final Prepared, Productive and Proud assemblies on June 14.
Students in kindergarten through grade five were celebrated for their accomplishments not in just the most recent marking period, but the school year as a whole.
More than 35 students were recognized for having preference attendance in the making period.
PPP awards are awarded to two students in each classroom. Teacher chose the students for having shown they were prepared, productive and proud.
The top students in reading and math throughout the school year, as well as those who showed the most improvement in these subjects, were awarded with a medal.
“Eye of the Tornado” awards were also earned by students who show exemplary behavior and go above and beyond the call for kindness.
The “Golden Spatula” was presented to the class with the best behavior in the lunchroom.
Safe Walker awards are for students who walk or get dropped off everyday and show safety when they enter and exit the school.
Safe Rider awards are for students who exhibit safe behavior on the school bus.
One class in grades K-2 and 3-5 respectively were recognized for their behavior and performance in the subjects of art, music, physical education and social and emotional learning.
Artist of the Quarter and Musician of the Quarter recipients were selected by art teacher Alison Faggiano and music teacher Margaret Kraeger respectively. The awards are given to students who have a great attitude inside and outside the classrooms and perform well in the subjects.
