Poland establishes new tradition with Prepared, Productive and Proud Assemblies

POLAND – Poland Central School District started Prepared, Productive and Proud Assemblies during the 2017-18 school year and will continue them throughout the 2018-19 school year.

The assemblies honor students’ positive behavior and attendance, focus on a particular character trait each time and feature a different grade level in a showcase performance.

The final PPP Assembly of the 2017-18 school year took place on June 1 in the school’s Walker Auditorium. Kindergarteners sang songs as the featured performers, the boys varsity baseball team received the PPP Award and the following awards were given out:


Eye of the Tornado:

  • The Golden Spatula Award for cafeteria behavior went to Tracy Graulich’s third-grade class.

  • The Single File Award for hallway behavior went to Karen Livingston’s first-grade class, Tracy Graulich’s third-grade class and Maria DeIorio’s fourth-grade class.

  • The Physical Education Award went to Pam Finn’s first-grade class and Laura Rabbia’s second-grade class.

  • The Library Award went to Julie Dutcher’s kindergarten class and Lori Seymour’s fourth-grade class.

  • The Art Award went to Kathleen Hess’s first-grade class and Laura Rabbia’s second-grade class.

  • The Music Award went to Julie Dutcher’s kindergarten class and Lori Seymour’s fourth-grade class.

The Safe Walker Awards for students with good behavior related to walking home from school went to:
