Poland Elementary School and the present classrooms that serve our students are the result of two additions to the school building erected in 1936. The 1962 and 1976 additions created 26 classrooms, an elementary library and gymnasium/assembly room that are the main section of the school serving elementary learners. A 2003 capital project established a dedicated entrance and parking area for the Elementary School.
Today, Poland Elementary School serves approximately 250 students and its programs provide learning opportunities for students to gain the knowledge and values necessary to meet the District’s mission of developing prepared, productive and proud citizens.

In 1976, a million dollar capital project renovated the 1936 Poland school building and defined classrooms at the campus for secondary students. Before the start of the 1983 school year, the Poland Board of Education had identified a program for Junior-Senior High School. The Board requested official designation with the State Education Department, and the Board of Regents approved a Poland Junior-Senior High School in September 1983.
As District enrollment grew, school officials identified a need to expand the footprint of the secondary building. Voters approved support for construction to create new building and classroom areas for science, technology, and music; these classrooms opened for use in 2003. Since that time, an additional expansion to the building footprint occurred. In 2020 a new gymnasium and dedicated gym entrance was ready for use by secondary students. The 1936 building and subsequent additions are the areas that define learning for secondary students.
