January’s Athlete of the Month for Boys’ Varsity Basketball is Senior Co-Captain Maddox Clark. When Maddox walked into the gym as a freshman, he was known as a hard-working kid with raw potential and an enjoyment for playing hoops. Four years later, as a senior, Maddox has transformed into a strong team leader and a tough player to stop in our league. This season, he has elevated his scoring ability to a new level, consistently leading the team in points while shooting efficiently from both the field and the free-throw line. He has worked hard on becoming a consistent scorer and has added some consistent effort on defense as well, leading the team in “charges taken.” His impact on our team has been a big one, and we look for more of that as we wrap up our regular season and head into sectional play.
