The Re-Organizational Meeting was called to order by Superintendent Laura Dutton at 5:36 p.m. Following the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance, Superintendent Dutton administered the Oath of Office to newly elected Board member Aaron Chrisman.
Appointment of Board Officers
Upon recommendation of the Board, the following appointments were approved for the 2026-2027 school year:
- District Treasurer
- Deputy District Treasurer
- District Tax Collectors
- Internal Claims Auditor
- Deputy Internal Claims Auditor
- Central Treasurer for Extraclass Funds
The resolution was approved unanimously.
Appointment of District Clerk
The Board appointed Maryisa Washington to serve as District Clerk through the July 2027 Organizational Meeting. The Superintendent will continue to serve as Clerk Pro-tem as needed.
The resolution was approved unanimously.
Election of Board Officers
The Board elected Robert Batson to serve as President of the Board of Education for the 2026-2027 school year.
Following the election, Superintendent Dutton administered the Oath of Office to Mr. Batson, who then assumed the role of Board President.
The Board also elected Danielle Allen to serve as Vice President.
Committee Appointments
The Board approved committee memberships for the 2026-2027 school year, including:
- Policy Committee
- Audit Committee
- School Boards Institute Representative
- School Wellness & District Safety Committee Representative
- Facilities/Building Visitation Committee
- Contract Negotiations Committee
Annual Appointments and Designations
The Board approved its annual appointments and designations for the 2026-2027 school year, including numerous financial, legal, operational, educational and compliance appointments required under New York State Education Law.

- Purchasing Agent
- Records Access Officer
- Records Management Officer
- School Attorneys
- External Auditor
- School Physician
- Guidance Director
- Dignity Act Coordinators
- Title IX Coordinator

The resolution was approved unanimously.
District Safety Team
The Board approved the annual membership of the District Safety Team for the 2026-2027 school year.
Building-Level Safety Teams
The Board approved the annual membership of the Building-Level Safety Teams for the 2026-2027 school year.
Standard Work Day
The Board approved the Standard Work Day schedule for applicable Employees’ Retirement System positions for the 2026-2027 school year.
IRS Mileage Reimbursement Rate
The Board approved reimbursement for authorized travel at the prevailing Internal Revenue Service mileage reimbursement rate during the 2026-2027 school year.
Committee on Special Education
The Board approved annual memberships for the:
- Committee on Special Education (CSE)
- Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE)
The Board also approved surrogate parent appointments for special education proceedings as required by Commissioner’s Regulations.
Access to Student Records
The Board approved employee access to records of students with disabilities in accordance with state regulations and confidentiality requirements.
2026-2027 Board Meeting Calendar
The Board approved the Regular Monthly Board of Education Meeting Calendar for the 2026-2027 school year, including the annual Budget Hearing, Budget Vote and Organizational Meeting schedule.
Bonding of Personnel
The Board approved Public Employees Blanket Bond coverage for designated district financial officers and personnel for the 2026-2027 school year.
