Poland CSD Celebrates School Spirit and Unity at Pep Rally

Students and staff at Poland Central School District came together for a schoolwide pep rally that celebrated school spirit, teamwork, and community support.

The pep rally featured games, student participation, and cheers as students gathered to support their classmates and celebrate Tornado pride. Throughout the event, students chanted together, participated in activities, and encouraged one another, highlighting the sense of unity within the school community.

In addition to the festivities, the pep rally included a tribute to Teddy Upson, a local young man whose life was affected by cancer.

Students and staff wore lavender shirts in his memory as part of a special tradition of honoring individuals whose lives have been touched by cancer. Lavender is recognized as the color representing awareness for all cancers, making the tribute a symbol of remembrance and support for those affected by the disease.

The tradition provides an opportunity for Poland students to recognize the importance of compassion, community involvement, and supporting others beyond the classroom.

The pep rally brought students and staff together not only to celebrate their school and athletic teams but also to recognize a cause that holds meaning for the community.

Through games, cheers, and the tribute to Upson, the event demonstrated how school spirit can bring people together while honoring those who have made an impact on the community.
