Poland Central School District School Counselors are certified/licensed educators with the minimum of a Master’s Degree in School Counseling or Social Work and are distinctly qualified to address the developmental needs of all students through a K-12 Comprehensive School Counseling Program.
PCS certified/licensed counseling staff guide the education for all students; this requires employees to understand the unique challenges and barriers faced by individual students or by populations of students.
School Counselors function proactively and preventatively. They serve as a personal and social resource, data analyst, collaborator, career awareness and academic coach, community and classroom resource, member or the District’s Crisis and School Safety Team, and an individual counseling resource.
Meet the School Counseling Services Staff

Grades 6-12 School Counselor & Pupil Personnel Services Department Director
As the School Counselor for grades 6-12, my primary role is to help your child successfully navigate through Middle School and High School so that he/she can graduate from Poland and be ready to attend college, serve our country, or enter the workforce.
My focus is on the academic success of our students as well as supporting any social and emotional needs.
I primarily will be working with students in regards to academic course selections/planning, academic coursework/grades, and overall college and career readiness.
Please don’t hesitate to call the Guidance Office at (315) 826-0214. I look forward to working with you and your child!

College & Career Planning

BOCES Career & Technical Education
The Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES Career Tech Center offers hands-on programs for 11th and 12th graders that go beyond a traditional classroom. You’ll learn from industry pros using state-of-the-art gear to master the skills you need for the job you want. You can earn college credits and professional certifications while you’re still in high school, all while staying on track for your Regents diploma. Most students spend half the day at the center and the other half at Poland CSD, giving you the perfect balance of technical training and the classic high school experience.
