Special Education

Poland Central School District’s Special Education Department provides identification and assessment of potentially disabled students. The department works in partnership with all other district offices and with parents, teachers, building administrators, and related personnel to support learning for students. Our district has supports for students within regular education such as counseling, instructional modifications, and academic intervention services (Response to Intervention).

When specially designed instruction or services are necessary, the department functions as a resource for parents to help understand required notifications, ongoing evaluations, meetings, assistive technologies, graduation requirements and transition services.
